Next Generation

Queensland Ag Shows Next Generation is a sub committee of Queensland Ag Shows focused on supporting the future of agricultural shows and strengthening connections across the show movement. The Next Generation Committee is made up of representatives from Queensland’s Sub Chambers and has responsibilities delegated by the Queensland Ag Shows Board to support initiatives, events and opportunities that encourage participation and leadership within local show societies. Alongside the committee, Next Generation also represents a broader network of show members aged between 18 and 40 from across Queensland. Any eligible member of a Queensland show society can be part of Next Generation. From volunteering at local shows to supporting state events and building connections across the industry, Next Generation helps create pathways for the next generation of show leaders and community volunteers.

Next Generation plays an active role in supporting Queensland’s agricultural show movement through initiatives, events and leadership opportunities across the state.

This includes:

• Supporting local show societies and young volunteers
• Coordinating leadership and networking opportunities
  Assisting with Queensland
• Ag Shows state competitions and events
• Promoting agricultural shows and regional communities
• Encouraging the next generation of show leaders

From local shows to the Ekka, Next Generation members are helping keep the spirit of Queensland shows strong in their communities.
