Our Board

David Wilson has been involved in the show movement for more than 20 years through the Beaudesert Show Society and brings extensive leadership experience across Queensland Ag Shows.

Since joining the Board in 2021, David has served as Junior Vice President, Senior Vice President and now President. He has also held leadership roles within the South East Queensland Sub Chamber since 2014 and serves as a Director of Agricultural Shows Australia, representing Queensland at a national level.

With experience across agriculture, technology, project management and events, David brings a practical and forward-thinking approach to leadership. He is passionate about ensuring agricultural shows remain strong, sustainable and relevant for future generations while continuing to support the communities they serve.

Kylee Matthews has been involved in agricultural shows since competing at the Jandowae Show in the 1980s. In 1992, she represented the Darling Downs Sub Chamber in the Queensland Country Life Miss Showgirl Competition and went on to win the national title in Perth.

Kylee now serves as Junior Vice President of Queensland Ag Shows, Central Highlands Delegate and a Queensland Ag Shows Next Generation Mentor. She is also Vice President of the Emerald Show Society, where she has contributed for more than 17 years across leadership, event delivery and mentoring roles.

A long-time teacher, Kylee is passionate about encouraging young people to get involved and helping future leaders grow within the show movement.

T’aire Olsen has more than a decade of leadership experience across the not-for-profit, education and health sectors, with a strong focus on communications, community engagement and building meaningful partnerships. As Chief Executive Officer and Secretary to the Board of Queensland Ag Shows, she works closely with show societies, volunteers, industry and government to support and strengthen the agricultural show movement across Queensland.

Passionate about the role agricultural shows play in rural and regional communities, T’aire is committed to ensuring shows continue to evolve while staying connected to the people and traditions that make them unique. She brings a collaborative and community-focused approach to leadership, with a strong emphasis on governance, sustainability and creating opportunities for future generations to stay involved in the show movement.

Laura Maeyke has been involved in the agricultural show movement her entire life through the Mundubbera Show Society, where she has served as Secretary across five terms and supported areas including trade sites and entertainment coordination.

She has also served as Secretary and Delegate for the Burnett Sub Chamber and is currently in her third term on the Queensland Ag Shows Board. Laura contributes to the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee and brings a strong focus on governance, sustainability and future leadership within the show movement.

Passionate about supporting the next generation, Laura believes agricultural shows play an important role in connecting communities, preserving traditions and creating a strong sense of belonging across regional Queensland.

Lyndell Neal has a lifelong connection to agriculture and agricultural shows, growing up on her family’s stud cattle and Merino sheep property near Tara and exhibiting Herefords at shows across Queensland and interstate.

She is a Life Member of the Tara Show Society and has served as Show Secretary for 11 years, alongside stewarding roles across multiple sections including Showgirl, Produce and Cropping. Since 2017, Lyndell has represented her region as the Darling Downs Sub Chamber Delegate for Queensland Ag Shows.

Lyndell also spent 20 years with Education Queensland supporting Agricultural Certificate programmes. She is passionate about mentoring young people and encouraging the next generation to become involved in agricultural shows and rural communities.

Madeleine Pitstock brings a lifelong connection to agricultural shows, along with hands-on experience in farming, community volunteering and regional leadership. Based between Goomeri and Murgon, she balances work as a beauty therapist and farmer while remaining actively involved in the show movement.

Madeleine has served as a committee member, secretary and delegate within her local show community and was named a Rural Ambassador State Finalist in 2024. She joined the Queensland Ag Shows Board to help support the future of regional shows and strengthen opportunities for young people to get involved.

Passionate about community connection, Madeleine believes agricultural shows create a sense of belonging and play an important role in keeping regional communities strong, welcoming and connected across generations.

Lisa Walsh has been involved in agricultural shows from a young age, growing up around the Chinchilla Show and competing in rider, hack and showjumping events. Her long-standing connection to the show movement has developed into active leadership within regional shows.

Lisa has served on the committee of the Chinchilla A and P Association for the past eight years, including four years as President. She also serves as Vice President of the South West Sub Chamber and is the South West Queensland Delegate on the Queensland Ag Shows Board.

Through her roles, Lisa brings practical experience in regional show leadership and is passionate about supporting volunteers and encouraging the next generation to get involved.

Vere Wyper has supported agricultural shows for many years, beginning as a child competitor in pavilion sections before moving into long-term volunteer and leadership roles. She is a Life Member of the Mount Larcom and District Show Society and has served on the Show Management Committee for more than 20 years.

Vere has worked across many areas of the society, including the horse office, and has been Show Secretary since 2018. In 2023, she became the Central Queensland Delegate for Queensland Ag Shows.

Since retiring from the disability sector, Vere has focused on supporting volunteers and encouraging young people to get involved, believing strong future leadership is essential to keeping agricultural shows thriving in local communities.
